Why so few options for a 3" 28 gauge?

Most of the turkey guns in 28 gauge I see are only chambered for 2.75" shells.  I know the Benelli SBE 3 28 can handle 3" (not gonna pay that much).  Why so few 28 gauges chambered for 3" shells?
I live and hunt by empirical evidence.

Just my opinion but it's about demand and return on investment.
It's not a super high demand gun so the options are limited. I'd def grab one if available in 3". And prob need to be a pump or American possibly European single. I've got a bunch of 28s, mostly stacked barrels.  It's all I've hunted small game with over 30 years but ain't modifying none of the guns.
