I've been working on two 20 gauges for my dad and I.  I'm almost done with the 20 gauges.  Dad's is done except I need to dial the FF II in tomorrow on the pattern board.  Mine's still getting a custom paint job.  Here's some pics of black death and my SBE I had re-dipped that I put together last year.

20 is a Rem 870 that started as a youth 21" barrel with Rem Super Full.  Stock replaced with Knoxx SpecOps, forearm for synthetic, barrel polished, end cap replace with sling swivel, Limbsaver recoil pad, receiver drilled and tapped with rail, and Burris Fast Fire II with Warbird guard.

12 is a 24" barrel with Indian Creek .665 choke.  Stock replaced with SureGrip, receiver drilled and tapped with rail, topped with a Burris FF II with Warbird guard, and tree bark dip job.  Killed 9 birds with it last year.  Almost wasn't fair with 2oz TSS #9 loads.

Hope to break the 20ga in on an Eastern in MS this weekend.    ;D

What camo is on the SBE1?

I am planning on DIY dipping my 870 in one of the bark patterns like this. I figure that the gun's outline looks enough like a limb in the first place that a straight bark pattern would simply let it become a natural part of the woods.

FC, I call it treebark.  The pics really don't do it justice.  I should have got some better light to show detail, but I have a feeling if you lean it up against a tree in the turkey woods and stray to far you might not find it.

I used a local guy for the dipping.

Sand Man,

Could you possibly post a few more photographs of the SBE1 in good light? That Ultimate Camo pattern was one that I was considering.

Thanks.

Try this:

That was right after I had all the parts dipped.  If you want more detailed pics, let me know; and I'll take some.

Is the forearm on the 20 a factory 20 ga synthetic remington stock or is that from knox as well?

Thanks.  I thought it turned out as well.  I'll try to get some more detailed pics this weekend.
