Hunting a Chufa food plot that has been turned before or during the season is considered baiting in GA. It can not be manipulated by man.

Timer doesn't mean anything anyway.  My FIL feeds corn all winter long.  The deer and turkey that come through are very erratic.  His feeder feeds twice a day.  Morning and evening.  Timer has nothing to do with it.  If they find a food source that they like, they will put that area into their cycle throughout the day.

We plant food plots for deer and run feeders in them as well to keep deer on our place. Turkeys eat the corn as well, but they don't really time them all that often.  If they are around, they will run up tp one after it goes off, but mostly it's just whenever they happen to come through. 

In Texas it's a different story, the property next to where we hunt runs feeders and every time you hear one go off, they run from all directions.

Another question I have is we feed our cattle corn in the winter. The corn passes right through the cattle then along come the turkeys to scratch through the crap to get the corn.

If I hunt over a pile of cow crap is that the same as baiting?

i don't know about state laws......but i know it worked well for geese up north..then the federal wardens showed up one year and everyone's wallet was a whole bunch lighter
