I have been looking at the custom calls on here for a couple of years now and got to thinking about a few types of wood that I haven't seen used as strikers for pot calls.......and its possible I might name something that has been used or mentioned on OG. Here they are....... Catalpa? Crape Myrtle? Sassafras? Hackberry? Willow? Mullberry? Sweet Gum? Black Gum? Tupelo Gum? Crab Apple? Wild Persimmon? Pig Nut (wild pecan)? Eucalyptus? Button Wood?
If some of you guys have tried any of these let me know or post a picture. I possibly would consider purchasing one from you, especially one from Catalpa if the wood will work well as a striker.
