What's everyone in the Magnolia State hearing and seeing right now?  I'm wondering if it will be a little earlier spring for us here with all the warm weather and rain.

STAY HOME!

MS Hntr

I heard 2 yesterday morning. I have been getting mixed reports. I feel like the hens will be nesting earlier this year. We will find out soon!

surehuntsalot

I'm counting down the hours,I am ready
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

Didn't hear a thing this morning, but they were there.

Hens will be nesting at the same time as always..

Cole and I heard nary a gobble this weekend and we were in a spot that was supposed to be a "honey hole".

Jbird22

I heard one gobble 2 times one morning last week. It was waaaaay off on private land. That's the only morning I've been so far. Planning to go listen tomorrow morning and Wednesday morning before work.

Hoping this rain this week doesn't have them shut up by Thursday or the weekend.  Only one way to find out.  3 days till "go time".   :funnyturkey:

Went to listen this past saturday. Had two get REAL fired up. I guess they could hear me walking. I couldn't get out of there quick enough. Had to sit next to a tree and watch two longbeards gobble at me from about 35 yards. Sat there quietly for about 20 minutes till they walked off.

I'd been hearing plenty up till this weekend. The birds seemed to be less fired up. Didn't hear a gobble till 10 Sunday morning.
