I currently have a Silver 3.5 NWTF edition and it patterns very awesome. It came with the tru glow rifle type sights that I took off and replaced with a stock white bead. I love the gun but missed a Longbeard with it last season because I didn't draw it down small enough on the turkey. The stock is about a inch to long for me and if I don't pay attention I don't pull my head down on it enough. I see browning makes the Maxus in Bottomland with a 26 inch barrel and factory steel bead for a sight. It is 2.5 inches longer but about a pound lighter than my Silver. I was wondering if any of y'all have any knowledge on how they (Maxus) pattern?

Length of Pull is 14.25" on both the silver and maxus. Maxus includes shims for stock adjustments, but I don't think the shims adjust the LOP. I have a silver as well, and it is about 3/4" inch too long for me. If you don't have a mid bead installed on your silver, I would consider looking into that. The mid bead will help you keep your head down. Or, you could consider ordering a silver micro stock and replacing your current stock for turkey hunting.

Sorry to hear about your mishap with the silver. To show you want kind of nice guy I am I will take it off your hands so you won't have to worry about missing again. It will help you not miss anymore birds and won't hurt your confidence all at the same time.
I sure like the looks of the silvers and it's at the top of my wants list.

The Maxus is developing an excellent reputation. I have several readers who shoot them and they all are very happy with the patterns.
They have a longer forcing cone than the Silver and the other Browning guns and that seems to be helping to produce excellent patterns.
All of the Invector+ barreled guns however are certainly capable of producing great patterns. There are several chokes that work well with them, even though many have some different "internals".
Your Silver is also an excellent shotgun and that suggestion for installing a center bead is a good one. Anything that will cause you to concentrate on the sight picture seems to help.
Best of luck this spring.
Thanks,
Clark
