Picked up turkey hunting about 5 years ago.  Since then I have had some good success.. and some rough days as well.  However, in this limited time I have always used hen decoys.  I usually use a pair of decoys with one feeding hen and one upright hen.  It seems to work pretty well.  I guess I am scarred to used a Tom or Jake decoy figuring I might keep a subordinate bird out of gun range instead of calling him in.  I'm sure I am missing some opportunities to kill bird due to this phobia.  Could some of you give me some suggestions on when to use tom and Jake decoys.
