I have a Remington 870 exp withe the 28 in barrel and I generally shoot 5 or 6's what would you consider a good choke for the gun. I've been using the primoa tight wad

That 28" barrel should give you some excellent patterns.

As far as a choke recommendation, the chokes that I see throwing the best patterns in those guns today are the Hevi-13 Turkey choke and the SSX Turkey Choke. They have different designs but both work exceptionally well in all of my Rem-Choke guns and in those of my readers.

I always see my best patterns with #6 shot because it seems to flow better through most barrels and chokes.

I'd also recommend that you "deep clean" your bore to help optimize its performance regardless of which choke or shell you choose.

Whatever choke or shell you choose, all my best in the turkey woods this spring.
