I may be getting a couple remington versa max shotguns to do some filmed hunts with. Does anyone have any choke/shell combos that they would recommend. I have rhino chokes for them , but was wondering if anyone has tried other combos before I start from scratch.  thanks in advance

Any luck with patterning the Versa Max? I have 1 also but it doesn't seem to be a lot of info on combos for that gun.

I think Sumtoy has posted some test pattern pics in the pattern section...it did well

I was fortunate enough to get some of the new Pure Gold chokes just before the NWTF Conveniton & Sport Show. I've been able to take them to the range several times since I returned and talk to folks who purchased them from me there.

Both the .670 and the new .660 are doing very well in that gun. Several of my readers have also ordered them and they're all seeing excellent patterns from those chokes.

All of us have had our best results with 3" Hevi-13 shells, the "Bronze" ones with either #6 or #7 shot. The #6 favors the .670 and the #7 favors the .660.

Great guns and properly choked, you'll see some excellent patterns.

Thanks,
Clark
