I was going order some of Cheaper than dirts low priced Hevi 13 and Hevi 13 mag blends....after looking at pattern pictures online for two weeks I see where the Hevi 13 wins in pellet count but I am not sold on good uniform patterns.

Then I look again at other forums besides OG and already hearing people have various lot number problems...not saying the HEVI 13 is not better but I have a shell and gun that has worked great I am really happy with pattern and going stick with it.

Guess now I just need buy new gun and find a shell for it. :camohat:

I can not wait to shoot and post some pictures of my range time.

I was an HTL hold out until last Spring.     I always thought that "lead is dead" and never saw a reason to switch.     I tried a box of Hevi 3-2-7 and the pattern it produced was amazing.    It did better at 40 yards than some of my lead loads were doing at 30 yards.

I still hunt with lead sometimes, but my go-to load is Hevi 13.

I spoke with the lady at Hevi-Shot yesterday and she assured me that they had corrected their loading "error" with the Hevi-13 #7's and had started back using the wad from the 2010 loads (the best patterning loads).   She also saidKelly will be at their booth at the NWTF convention in Nashville next week to answer any questions or concerns.

Look at it this way--For years people have been trying to 200+ hits in a 10" circle at 40 yards with 6's.  Some guns will not do that with 6's.  7's then came along.  Even with the "bad" ones people were still getting 200+.  I would be happy with 200+ pellets with the energy of lead 5's hitting my target at 40 yards.  So what I am saying I think you are safe even with "bad" 7's.  JMHO.

The 7's are like sex and pizza.  Even when they're bad...they're still good.   :D

If you buy Hevi 13 you may not need a new gun..the only lot numbers that I've seen that were bad were the 3.5/2.25/7's and they ended in xxxx400. By bad I mean instead of turning 300+ out of my gun they were turning 260's-270's..thats in a 10 in circle @ 40.

I agree with that..once you pay shipping it kinda outrageous. I try buy Hevi 13 when i can pick it up in stores 17.99-19.99. I travel for a living and i stop in hunting stores where ever i go. I run across it quiete often for these prices. I have bought enough now that i wont need anymore.
