Hello all,  I was in Dicks yesterday and, sauntered back to the guns section, there were some Stoeger side by side models along with over unders. I have always had a preference for  SxS . Would appreciate any info from others that own hunt with or shoot one of these gums. The price was within my range and, the quality looked to be acceptable.  Thank You

I have been a way from posting on this site awhile, but I still read here every chance I get.

I recently purchase a CZ USA 202B from Jon's Sport Shop in a Jon's exclusive POW grip configuration. Anyway, with the Improved Mod and the Full chokes installed - at 30 yards it shoots 3-1 5/16-6's to point of aim. I ordered three new chokes from Trulock and plan to use it as a backup turkey gun. I bought it for quail but it will serve as a backup until I get a new turkey gun.

I've always liked double barrels, especially for turkeys (choke one barrel tight and one open).  I've always wondered about the Stoeger Supreme Coach.  20" barrels, double triggers, 3" chamber, and screw-in chokes.  However, I was always concerned that the barrels wouldnt regulate.

Well, a friend won a Stoeger SxS at an NWTF banquet last winter, and he sold it to me pretty cheap.  Sure enough, the barrels did not regulate good enough for turkey work.  I sold it to another guy who wanted to use it for clays.

About 5 or 6 years ago I had purchased a stoger side by side for my boy. I liked it because I thought he would shoot it with ease looking down that big rail. He did shoot it well, when it wanted to shoot. We had firing issues with it right from the start. Sometimes it would fire and sometimes it wouldn't. Then sometimes both barrels would go off when firing. I brought it back to where I purchased it,and it was sent back to Stoger. They sent it back 4 months later and it still was not functioning correctly. I then exchanged the firearm for a store credit. I've heard other people with the same issues.
