Deep cleaning procedure????????

  ok guys i have some new hevi to pattern and a set of williams firesights should be waiting on me at home in the mail. I have never deep cleaned my supernova since i bought it new. 1 year ago. what is the best method to clean the chrome lined barrel? i am going to basspro to buy some new cleaning products after work. most of my cleaning stuff at home is rifle/muzzleloader. i have some regular hoppes some hoppes benchrest copper remover and some sweets as well as a off brand nitro cleaner and some rem-oil. what should i buy?

I recommend Hoppe's #9, an old product that still works, a good brass/bronze brush and a Tynex brush can come in very handy. You'll also need some cotton patches for the final phase.

I think you'll find that your gun will pattern much better after this procedure and you may be surprised at the "gunk" that comes out of your barrel.

I'm going to try this tonight with my Mossy 835.  I traded in a couple old 12 gauges in for it at a local pawn shop a few weeks ago.  It looked to be in excellent condition but this "deep cleaning" procedure will make me feel much better about getting a used gun from a pawn shop.  Thanks allaboutshooting!  Any other advice I should consider?

You're welcome. The 835 is a great gun. Some of the best patterns I've seen have been shot with them.

It's amazing what a deep clean will do to your numbers at 40.  I was skeptical but no longer.
