I know a lot of guys film their hunts and I am curious about suggestions for good tripods.  I will mostly be bow hunting from a ground blind and will have someone else with me so it can't take up a ton of space. Thanks guys.

You might want to consider the Primos trigger stick. It works great and alot quicker/easier than a traditional tripod. It threaded right into my Sony.

I just bought the $26 one from Walmart.  It is sturdy, light, and folds up nice.  Comes with a bag too.  It is not tall enough to stand behind comfortably, but in the blind it will be perfect.  You can adjust each leg independently, too!!!

Personally,I think the tripod is just as important as the camera. I want my video to flow smooth with no skip and chatter when panning. Buyin a tripod with a fluid head will make all of your videos better. I guarantee it!  :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:
This is the one I started with and loved it,It has a telescoping handle and a lot of adjustments,Its a little bulky but you said that didnt matter.

I have one of those for my camera, another thing to keep it steady, that little hook between the legs is on there for a reason, hang something heavy on it to keep it steady

Here is a good deal on a tripod! I got into the filming stuff about 8 months ago and I love it! Thing about it is I get too caught up in trying to kill everything haha. Oh and I am selling some of rock solid tripods. PM if your interested!

Well I honestly didn't know that tripods could be that expensive.  All I have is a small, but nice, palm camcorder.  I have looked at the cheaper one at WalMart, and the more pricey ones at BestBuy.  For the time being, the cheaper one seems like a nice fit. What should I use to weigh it down with?
