This year I've put some time in as far as the deer season goes. From early archery til the muzzleloader season and now a permit shotgun season. Still without a tag filled, opportunities were few and far in between as far as the perfect shot goes (that's hunting). There were a few passed shots on smaller bucks earlyer in the season,I just couldn't get close enough to the buck I wanted to shoot this year.
Yesterday was a great day! I arrived at my at my stand at dark 30 and said my hunters prayer, along with several other ones as well  :cross2:. I sat for an hour before seeing a deer. It was a doe, which was I wanted for the freezer. It still being early I wanted to enjoy the sounds and sites of the wilderness. I watched her for a few minutes and a small buck shows up and starts to chase her around, one of the sites we all love to see on stand. An hour later 3 bucks pass through a small spike, button and a 3 pointer. It allways makes for a great post when you're seeing game all day. All the deer walked off,and it was quiet for a while.
My day had started at 3:30am so now I'm gettin a little sleepy. I closed my eyes for what seemes like 10 minutes ,it was more like 2. Then I woke to the sound of a lone hen yelp. Now I'm on the alert again. All off a sudden the turkeys start going bonkers! you thought it ws spring. Hens were cutting and yelping, aggressive fighting purrs,Kee keying. And the toms were gobbling. I was sourrounded by them. All the birds were just out of site. This went on for a good 20 minutes. Then they all came through a flock of over 60 birds. My honey hole is going to be sweet this spring  ;D The birds finally quieted down and passed through and 2 does showed up immediately. One was bigger then the other, I knew now its time to drop the hammer. The smaller doe kept getting in the way and finally she cleared. Then, I was able to settle the cross hairs down on her and thread the needle. Truly a great hunt that will never be forgotten.

That is my Boy's 20ga H&R Ultra Slug Hunter Limited addition. It took along time to find the right recipe for this gun. Now it shoots 3" Win. Partition Gold. 2000fps. with great consistant groups. This was one of my targets @100 yards. I have her dialed in a littler better now.
