I have noted that many on the forum use the terms holo and reflex interchangably and others may not know what they mean.  They are two totally different technologies used for the same purpose.  Easiest explanation is if the light comes from behind the lens it is a reflex sight (like a FF2 or Mueller) and if the light comes from in front of the lens it is a holo sight (like an EOTech).  But there is a lot more to it than that.  Some may not realize that a tube style red dot sight is a reflex sight using the same technology as a FFII.  One is an enclosed lense reflex sight and the other is an open lens reflex sight.

So here is an article that explains the two technologies, and the benefits and drawbacks of each.  Everything you ever wanted to know and probably a lot more than you needed to know about holo, reflex, and laser sights for those who might be interested.
