Has anyone with a VersaMax contacted Rob Roberts about choke tubes? Just wondering if he's done any work with Remingtons new system yet.

chrmayo

Not sure if Rob Roberts is doing chokes for these guns yet but a friend from work bought one and had talked to rhino about making one and he was told they had them in the works. Personally I would hit  up SumToy on here and I am sure he will get you what you need..

Indian Creek may be trying to make one for the new Remington guns as well.

Nice. How does the gun shoot. Do you like it. How about trying some Hevi 13 #6 20z. loads in it.

I would but that gun was in the shop just after they came out.  I have had pro bore chokes over 3 years.  The STS clay guns have had them.  The gun was heavy and had a good kick to it to me but other then that it a good gun.

Depending on which model you get it weighs 7.5 - 7.7 pounds.  If that is heavy to most turkey hunters, then they probably should shoot a 20 gauge.  The Versa Max is the softest shooting 12 gauge I have ever fired.  When I am shooting magnum rounds for waterfowl hunting, it is like shooting a 20 gauge.  This gun does not have a kick at all compared to the "normal" line of guns on the market.   The gun does what it is supposed to.  It shoots any load you give it and spits them out without a problem  It's recoil reduction system is flat out awesome.  I can shoot waterfowl (3 - 3.5 inch rounds) on the range all day long and not think twice about. Normally after a few rounds of testing magnum rounds, you know it.  With the Versa Max they are enjoyable to shoot on the range.  Remington really hit a home run with this gun and good for them.  I am really glad I purchased one.
