2 years ago I got some traps and hit it hard going after anything I could catch, then took a break last year and bowhunted.  Well this year, there is no snow and the ground is not froze so I set some traps.  This morning, I got a 25# coon with no tail and missed a yote by 1".  I hope to get a fisher and a few more turkey/deer eaters in the next two weeks.  My goal is to get one of every fur bearing animal in Wisconsin then have it tanned.  The coon was next on my list until I noticed the missing tail.  I have 6 more animals to go before my goal is complete.  (bobcat, mink, fisher, beaver, weasel, skunk, coon)  I have caught skunk, fisher, weasel, and coon before but sold them.

2 more turkey egg eating coons caught today.  One was 14# and the other 19.5#.  2 years ago there were birds on this farm and last year they did not show up.  I hope they come back after getting rid of the coon.

I have been trapping coons on our place for 3 years now.  They are considered the most destructive becasue they eat eggs and poults and they can climb trees at night and get poults out of the tree.

We have more turkeys now than ever before.  Dont know if it is due to the trapping or not but I am sure it helps.

I am only running 7 traps on this farm and have picked up 3 in 2 nights.  I hope to get a yote off the farm also.

Coon they're like hogs in Florida kill as many as you want just as many next year. I take anywhere from 50-100 each year of our main farm and this has been going on for several years. Skunks I've thined out only get 1-2 each year used to get 10-15 and yotes they just keep moving in can't slow them down. If you've got a creek bottom near you I've got some stuff that'll help you catch a mink in no time. Shoot me a text and stop by sometime and I'll give you some of it.

Keep on trapin those varmits!
