Flying the Up-to-Date CHAMPION Banner

As a team member of the 2025 Roaring 20's Turkey Hunting Contest CHAMPION team with THE coolest banner, I am sure that you will want to start flying the flag as soon as you can. Here's how.

Follow the instructions for setting up an account with Imgur, Flickr or the 3rd Party Photo Hosting site of your choice. Right click on the banner on my post here and click on "Save Image As" and paste it to your 3PPH account on your computer. In the 3PPH copy the Bulletin Board Code (BBC).

Now, under your name at the top of the Old Gobbler page it says "Profile." Hover over that and click on "Forum Profile." Scroll down that page and find the "Signature" box. Right click in the box and click "Paste." The code should appear. It will start with "open bracketIMGclosed bracket" and end with "open bracket/IMGclosed bracket". (open bracket = [, closed bracket = ]).

Save your changes and check one of your previous posts on the OG site. The banner should now appear on every one of your posts.

Please let me know if you run into any snags that are preventing you from sporting the Up-to-Date 2024 CHAMPIONS gang colors in the hood. We will not be developing any gang hand signs so just get the banner right.

Gentlemen,

It appears that barring an absolute genetic freak being scored by one of the other teams, The Roaring 20's have won the 2025 Old Gobbler Turkey Hunting Contest! AGAIN! This represents a ringing testimony of the dogged determination, stellar turkey hunting skills and keen woodsmanship of the members of this merry band. All that and we had fun doing it!

If you will follow the instructions above, please feel free to update your Championship team banner to represent your commitment to greater skills and fair chase. If you need help with it, please feel free to contact me and we will get you suited up.

When is the official end of the contest?

I believe that the unofficial end of the contest each year is the last day of the latest state season. This is usually the last day of May, i.e. tomorrow.

Update - While the vast majority of northern states and Canadian provinces end on May 31, North Dakota season ends on June 1 and Michigan season ends on June 7.

June 7 will be the official end of the OG contest this year.
