Ejection ? Auto / Other

Is it possible that TSS shells can cause the auto action of the gun to cycle too fast to load the next shell?

The reason I ask, is because I killed a turkey and the next shell instead of loading it ejected hitting the ground and the third shell didn't load either, it stayed in the magazine tube.

Last year this didn't happen and the gun has been fired less than 25 times, this includes using target loads while doing its initial sighting before season.

I did clean it well before this season and I did check it before this season.

What I have noticed is it seems the TSS loads are a lot nastier loads with leftover powder residue etc ..IMO

Have any of you experienced this problem or what other problems have you experienced with TSS shells in auto guns or any other type of gun?

I have seen several semi autos that will not load the second shell. We assumed it was all pressure related from the fired shell as the extractor was ripping the fired hull most shots. Played with lowering the powder charge in my reloads and it would cycle eventually but not acceptable for me. I switched that 20ga 11/87 to Apex loads until I can experiment some more with it.

Also my loads were almost a good 1/4" longer then apex loads of the same short charge. I emailed Hal asking if I could drop back to 1 nitro card under the wad, waiting to load some more after I hear back. When I did a side by side with Hal's 1 5/8 20a load next to a similar Apex load, I can see where I have an extra nitro card vs their single.

Interesting... The shells i'm using are the Apex Ninja loads, and at the end of the hull after it's fired it pretty much looks melted / open end of the hull...

that would be from the roll crimp process I am betting.
