Quote from: Spring Creek Calls on May 12, 2025, 11:53:10 AMI did a function test this morning on the Wolff Spring replacement. I loaded the SA-28 with an Apex TSS in the chamber, an Apex TSS second shot and a Federal 1oz heavy field load for the 3rd shot. I fired all three shots in rapid succession and all picked up and ejected correctly. Some notes if you decide to change out your mag spring on your SA-28. 1. Getting the magazine retainer off will be the hardest part. The website mentioned above has invaluable pictures and information. 2. The Wolff spring will be much longer than needed. It is rated 20% more tension than the original so it can be trimmed to the length of the original. I gave mine an extra inch or so. 3. Remove the follower and run a dry patch down the mag tube. I was surprised how. much gunk was there. I'm sure some was from the factory and the rest from 5 years of hunting.4. The magazine retainer goes back in much easier than the removal.Good luck and I pray it takes care of the problem for all of us!
