So you guys think his calls may not be that great, but he is quite good with them?? I really want one of those friction call scratch box combo calls. I may be disappointed though.

I have the friction wood when he used to combine it with the beggin hen. Mine came with a corn cob striker. It sounds just like his....I just cant run it like him. The beggin hen yelps so loud it will rattle your teeth.

It would be a good investment.

What I have is the tube call, mine don't sound like his because I'm not any good on it.  I have only heard good things about his calls, I don't think you would be disappointed with any of his calls.

i have hunted with kennys calls for  years and have killed some stubborn gobblers with the tube and friction wood. i like his calls so much i have given many as gifts. ask  ken about his "old wood" friction calls. also get his book it is a classic read and full of great hunting stories, tips, etc..... i talked with ken this spring about ordering some calls and he informed me of his current battle with cancer so some prayers for him are in order.

Thanks for the info, SWAMPFOX. I am going to get a couple of his calls. I was interested in his book as well. I hate to hear he is battling cancer. i will certainly pray for him.

he sounds very good.the 85 year old guy that got me hooked on this at very early age had a scratch box but never sounded that good.that thing sounds really good.

I am definately going to order one of his scratch boxes.  That thing sounded awesome.  I will keep him in my prayers.
