Wisconsin Draw

I'm trying to get my ducks in a row for 2025 turkey travel. I usually know where I'm going by December in order to put in for draws if I need to. I have put in for Wisconsin but I have some questions for those with Wisconsin experience.

The deadline for the draw is December 10. According to Wisconsin, results will be posted in late January. Is this true? That's a very long time for results to come in, as most states usually post them 2-3 weeks from deadline day. It also makes it very hard to plan my trip as I want to put in for at least one more state close by and would like to do so before having to wait to see if any tags remain for OTC.

I can find zero info on how many tags are offered, past draw odds/results. So again, I have to wait until I see what I draw. I did put in for the 3rd choice of any time in that zone but I may withdraw that depending on what my desired result is.

I don't want to give any of my draw details away publicly so if anyone wants to shoot me a pm, I can certainly give details. Or anyone with any experience on the Wisconsin draw that would pm me, that would be great.

i am sure you can get that info in just a few calls. here is how it goes. yes results are posted/ mailed out in january. multiple zones with six, (A-F) one week seasons. any left over tags go on sale on a monday for zone 1, tuesday zone 2, wednesday zone 3... one tag a day until they are gone. i figured it out once, and if you want to spend the money, a person could get like 60 tags by the time the season ends.

Yes, I've spoken to a biologist and a warden but neither knew draw odds etc. Sure is making it tough to put in for the Illinois draw not having a clue until end of January. I plan on calling the Wisconsin DNR on Monday in hopes of at least getting some draw odds and then I'll just put in for Illinois and hope it works out. Worse case I drive back and forth from Virginia several times. Just seems like they would post past years odds like most other states with a draw.

You have very little chance of drawing a season A tag as they all mostly go to residents. I'm not sure about season B, never applied for it. You will pretty much be guaranteed a season C tag if you apply for it.

Thank you! I did put in for C for my second choice.

PM sent. Basically non residents applying for season a and b are wasting time as those are usually all drawn by residents

Draw results are out. Log in to your go wild account and it will tell you if you were successful. I was not and I only apply for season C.

I checked the other day and was successful in Season C. I'm glad of the early release. I've got my spring plans sewn up now
