This has nothing to do with hunting but I thought I would ask. My health has gotten worse over the last cpl months, my doctor told me to apply for Social Security Disability. I am told you are always refused the first time and have to fight it. Also, if you do get the SSD, does that cover your prescriptions and health care?? I cant seem to get an answer on this, not even from my doc. Any input, advice would be much appreciated. I felt comfortable posting here, I just dont feel this is something for Facebook for the whole world to read.
Thank you, Tom

My neighbor got his right away. First time. I applied ,got turned down.Got an attorney, still got turned down. Re filed went to court got turned down again. Well before I had a chance to re file again,Soc,Sec. over road the Judge and awarded it to me with back pay. You also go on medi care. You can get medi care prescription service if you want to pay for it.Took me 5 years. For me the difference in soc sec and soc sec disability was and extra 500 bucks a month in my pocket.

Yep you must pay for scripts out of pocket or pay for the medicare script plan.

Sometimes you can get the scripts in generics filled in 90 day lots for cheaper than the plan costs you.  Also talk to your doctor and see if there are alternative medications that do the same thing that are cheaper.

I have Medicare & Medicaid. My scripts cost me $ 1 co-pay

If your Dr. is unsure, you might want to find one who is more knowledgeable about it. I'm not positive, but isn't the Dr. the one who has to write a report up, to meet the requirements for you to be qualified. If so, and he doesn't write the report up to meet the requirements, due to being uninformed, your basically rear ended. Just my thoughts, on what I "think" I know. Reads like your doing what you need to do by attempting to collect as much information as needed before proceeding.

God Bless,
