Nomad Snake Gaiters

Saw the Nomad snake gaiters in a magazine and can't find them anywhere. Natchez Shooters Supplies had some but they say are out of stock. Anyone know where you can get them? Nomad doesn't even have them on their sight. I messaged them but no response.

Thanks guys.

Unfortunately, we aren't coming to market with them this spring.  We found a snake testing facility in PA used by a large snake boot manufacturer and although the gaiters passed the test of 5 timber rattler strikes, when the snakes fangs were pressed into them by hand, they went through the fabric.  I discontinued them until we find a fabric that we can certify "snake proof".  We tried doubling up the fabric and they failed again.  I'm not sure if other companies that make light weight snake gaiters go through this lengthy process, but I would certainly investigate before buying.

Jason,

Thank you very much for the information. These seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. I really like the Nomad products and appreciate all you guys do. Maybe next year. I was just looking for something not so bulky. Again, thank you very much.

Thanks for your support!  Hopefully we will find the perfect fabric that is super lightweight and most importantly snake proof!

I know some guys that are exposed to snakes a lot on the job and use Turtle Skins, but I saw they are not available until May now. https://www.snakeprotection.com/turtleskin-snake-gaiters

I saw some in bottomland on Amazon yesterday, no idea on quality?

My son and I have been wearing turtle skins for 3 years and they are the bomb! Wish they had different camo patterns though. Wear them over the top of Lacrosse Grange rubber boots and you are lightweight and waterproof.

I know this topic is old..but was curious if anyway has talked to Jason if they found another material to use or not...I am assuming not or they would have been released this year..Just asking

Regardless of snake proof, I would buy those gaiters. Great design & patterns. I can't find a single company that makes a bottomland gaiter for us turkey fellers. I was happy when I saw them. Then let down when I read they weren't going into production. Looks like a really nice gaiter. Really sharp looking with a great shape.

Sure would be nice if you sold those nice gaiters ya got in a non snakeproof version.

Pm me if there's any extra stock hidden anywhere. Sure would love a pair.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Checkout the crackshot ones on Amazon. They are available in bottomland. I have a pair and they are very comfortable.

I wear what PaLmbHangr suggested and have been for a few years.  I looked on Amazon and they have them in Bottomland.  They go on and off with ease and are comfortable.  These have something like kevlar in them.  For me they are better than snake boots.  Good luck.

Wow, those Nomads do look sharp.  I've been wearing the turtle skin gaiters for a couple of years and like them alright but would love a strap and buckle on them like the nomad's to keep them pulled down low on my boots.  I've got a piece of para cord strung under mine through the grommets that goes under my boot but need a little better system.

You can contact Glenda Green and she can cover them for you. Had mine done in original bottomland and Velcro to replace zipper. Was not very expensive and absolutely love the upgrade.
