That late anterless deer season seems to be creeping in the direction of where I hunt.  Deer populations are definitely growing.  I passed up on a fork horn on the first day of muzzle loading season in hopes of something bigger, and because I already have deer meat in the freezer.  Bad decision in retrospect.  But I was seeing does every day I hunted.  More than I've ever seen in the past.  I decided not to shoot one even when I saw them on anterless days.  Maybe next season, I won't be as picky and take one and just donate it to Hunters For The Hungry.
