Carleson 20 guage TSS choke?

Thinking about ordering the carleson TSS choke (.555) for my 20 gauge 870 express 21 inch barrel. Anybody have any experience with this choke tube? I'll still be toting my trusty 835 but would like to get a gun set up for my wife and nephews so I'm trying to turn the ole grouse gun into a pecker wrecker. planning to pattern Apex and Federal #9's if I can decide on a good choke/constriction...asking for input before puling the trigger due to TSS being so dang expensive...

Happy

I have one for my Sa-20 but I have never shot it. I went with the Carlsons .565 unported turkey choke. It was doing 300 plus in a 10" circle at 40 yards with both 8.5 and 9 shot, and I saw no need to go tighter.

Setting it up for wife and nephew I would choose a more open choke, .570-.580 range, with TSS they will all pattern sufficiently out a long way!

I agree with Happy ... 565 little more open choke ....

Agree with the guys above, I have the exact same gun and I shoot the Carlson's .575 with the Fed 9s.  Great pattern with plenty of range but also some forgiveness for closer shots.

I've got a .555 in my 20 ga Remington 870 youth model. I set it up as a back up gun for myself and/or gun for the wife and kids to carry. However, at closer ranges it of course is super tight. Kids and wife aren't using it. They are using a Tristar 20 ga pump with a factory choke and Longbeard #5 and #6. They are shooting 25 yards or so anyways. The little Remington is going West with me in May.
