I have a new 20ga Benelli SBE3 coming in next week and I need advice from those that have one of these on what choke/ammo combination provides the best pattern. I plan on using TSS but need help on what brand/size shot and what brand/size choke these guns like. Really don't want to reinvent the wheel nor spend more $'s than necessary testing TSS. Thanks for your input.

Probably not a lot of info out there since the Benelli SBE 3 in 20ga. hasn't been out very long. My son sold his Beretta A400 20ga. last year and bought a SBE 3 20ga, it's a very nice gun, his has the 28" barrel. He used it during the fall season for squirrels, quail and shot a nice tom. He currently uses a Carlsons TSS .555 and has patterned 3" Browning 1.5 oz #7, Federal 1.5 oz #9 and Apex 1 5/8 oz #9 and they all patterned well in the 10"-20" at a measured 40 yards. I don't have pictures to post of his patterns but I attached mine from another post and they were virtually the same. I'm shooting a Benelli Ethos 20ga. with 26" barrel. Your mileage may very, good hunting and I hope you enjoy your new gun.

We have not seen anything different in them.    We cut one off other day to 19 and owner call said it doing north of 300.   That is in line with the M2s.
Tell us just how dead do you want them to be and we will see if we can get that for you.

Thanks, lacire- nice patterns. Mine is a 26" and I have ordered some TSS from three different manufacturers but have not made up my mind relative to the best choke as yet. I am a little concerned about the problem Benelli had with SBE3 12ga shooting left and high POA/POI when they first came out but I finally decided that I wanted a 20ga and since I've been shooting an SBE2 12ga for years with no issues at all I decided to stick with Benelli. Since the 20ga isn't drilled and taped. you pay your money and take your chances LOL  Thanks for the information and good hunting to both you and your son this spring.

I would look at an Indian Creek choke .562 constriction and look at Apex #9.

I recently bought a Benelli M2 and got a sumtoy .562 for it.  Will be shooting apex #9 thru it.

Sumtoy is another great option.
