2 bone vs 3 wingbone yelper

I am going to attempt to make my first wingbone call from this years turkey.I have been researching how to build it, and have come across versions that are made with 2 bones instead of the 3 bones i usually see. What is the differences in sound? I ask because the large bone was broken in one wing from thrashing after the shot. Thanks for any info or advice anyone can share.

The first wingbone I made I broke the big bone in the process. I carry that 2 piece every time go I in the woods. It doesn't seem to be as loud as a 3 piece but it sounds good enough.
