Henry County Alabama Veterans Memorial Park

This past weekend I drove down to what i refer to as "The River", a cabin in Henry County Alabama. I have hunted it for 25 years and had to cut some trees out of the road and mow the grass.

I had seen the  new Veterans Memorial Park every time I went down hunting. On the way home I told my friend that I was going to stop and check it out. It seemed fitting being Memorial Day Weekend.

Here are a few Pictures. Remember this rural county in South East Alabama and one of the finest Memorials I have seen on the local level. It is located in Abbeville, AL on Hy way 10 just after you cross US 431.

What is very cool is they also the the Confederate State of America and the United States Continental Army

To the families and friends of  service members that have paid the ultimate price and those that are away from their families     I know Freedom isn't Free

That is very cool. I like the fact that they have guys all the way back to the revolutionary war. God Bless all veterans.
