I haven't ever used gun broker, but need a new barrel for my favorite deer rifle.  I have found one that looks interesting but don't have any experience with gun broker.  Has anyone bought or sold things from there or have any tips or thoughts other than "buyer be ware"?
Thanks,
Rick

Good thing is a barrel can be shipped directly to you without having to go through an FFL transfer.  Check the sellers feedback throughly, read what people have had to say about them.  Read the discription carefully and send questions to the seller if you arent sure about anything.  I have used Gunbroker extensively and never been burned using these recommendations.

I've bought and sold on Gun Broker.  Never had any problems.  My advice would be to pay with a Postal Money Order.  Make sure the item is insured and get a tracking number.

Check the number of transactions by the seller. Also see if they have left a contact number or place of business. Sometimes you can call them and talk about the product. Promptly answering emails is also a plus. When you ship your payment mail it with delivery confirmation priority envelope would be a plus. If I spent over a certain amount I also add signature confirmation which requires party to sign for the package. You are looking at a total of about $6 to pay for an investment. Well worth it to cover yourself. Post office has everything handy.

I never had a problem but I haven't bought a lot off there.  But you can also call the sellers for they do list phone numbers.

I've purchased something on there and bid on others.  I don't much care for it because of shill bidding and late sniping.  I'd rather go to guns america or guns international and buy what I need and be done with it.  You might consider looking around and other retail sources like CDNN Investment, numrich, Midwest Gunworks, and various other online sources and find a good price.  You may not be successful on broker.

I've bought and sold things on Gun Broker without any problems.    Remember the saying Caveat Emptor (buyer beware) and you'll do just fine.

Research the seller and check out their feedback.    Ask all related questions before bidding and get a feel for the seller.    Most sellers are honest folks, but you will occasionally run across the rare crook.      That said, all of my GB experiences have been very positive.

Ive got some good deals there before on hard to get items -

As always use caution and common sense - use insurance and tracking #'s
