Do you prep the surface on a MAD heavy metal aluminator pot call?

alchohol wipes and scotch brite pad.  No sand paper.

I used sandpaper to start and then green scotch brite there after.  I like the Aluminator.
No trees were hurt in the sending of this message, however a large number of electrons were highly inconvenienced.

Yep, alcohol and scotch brite, you can do the sandpaper thing, but DO NOT press to hard as it will leave too deep of grooves in the aluminum.

Man.............I use 60 grit sandpaper on every aluminum call I own. I go in a circular pattern. I think the sound better.
