Trumpets / Wingbones Forum / DBW AT1 release!
Last post by moyehow - January 22, 2026, 05:11:20 PM
If you have wanted to try a trumpet but didn't want to spend the money for a nice custom trumpet til you tried one, the AT1 is an acrylic trumpet that looks and sounds great AND will not break the bank.   $50.00.   I am so excited to finally get to release it this weekend.   After a year and a half of trials and testing, I am telling you, it will hunt!    Thank y'all all and God Bless!

General Forum / THANK YOU!
Last post by turkeykiller22 - January 22, 2026, 05:06:10 PM
I've been a member of Old Gobbler since 2011, and I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to everyone here.

This forum has been a huge part of my turkey hunting journey — from learning woodsmanship and calling, to discovering incredible call makers, to countless late-night reads that made me a better hunter the next morning. A lot of what I've learned here has directly influenced how I hunt today, and honestly, even how I've designed products for my company, Grounded.

What makes this place special isn't just the knowledge — it's the people. The willingness to help, the respect for the bird, and the shared obsession with doing it the right way. Communities like this are getting harder to find, and I'm grateful this one still exists.

As a small way of saying thanks, I wanted to offer 10% off to anyone here who wants to check out our gear.
You can use the code oldgobbler (all lower case) at checkout.

No pressure at all — I mainly just wanted to express my appreciation for a group of hunters that's meant a lot to me over the years. I'm proud to be part of this community and thankful for what it's given me.

Wishing everyone a safe spring and lots of great memories in the field.

DeadBirdWalking.com.    The AT1 is a great call and for 50.00 it is a great price to get one and learn on.    These calls sound great and will not break the bank.   Just a warning.   Once you learn how to play this trumpet, you will be buying a custom one from someone.

Quote from: Meleagris gallopavo on January 18, 2026, 08:24:26 AMThanks folks.  I've been into cane yelpers lately so I had to ask.  Saw where he presented one to Moye Howard at Unicoi which made me wantsy.
That was given to me in 2012.

I'm glad to be joining in from the mountains of North Georgia. I've browsed as a guest for a while, and hope I can contribute from time to time.
