I was very pleased to receive one of Mr. Lyman's call in the mail on 24 Sep.  I love the vintage style design and depending how you hold % amount of pressure you get some pure turkey sounds out of this little call. It will be with me this fall when bow hunting in a few states.  Call means a lot to me since it was dated 9/25.  When working on a swimming  pool in the mountains of SC PA this week, had an old hen turkeys calling and thought about about a testing that dandy little call.

I shoot a TriStar raptor youth 20ga with the gas ring removed. Load


is Epic 2oz #9's.  Choke is Carlsons bismuth bone buster extended


range choke .585.  With my gas modification recoil is reduced too

the feeling of #9 birdshot load and no battering of the action.

Works great.

No sir,  I removed the split spring steel gas ring in my Tristar raptor

20ga from the actual gas piston then re-install the gas piston with no

ring back in the gun. I would imagine every gun gas system would be a

different type modification and testing
