I believe the FF3 does turn off automatically at 8 hours.

I to turn mine on when I get out of the truck and off when I get back in.

Last year the battery in my sons M2 went low. It was a FF3, been used some but I think it was a bad battery. At most it was on its second season. The red dot started blinking and would go off. You could turn it back on for a bit before it would repeat

Talked to another buddy today who lives in the Gainesville area (not too awfully far from where I'll be hunting).  He said that this is the worst and weirdest year he has ever seen.

I thought you hoops and turkey fans would appreciate this.  We (daughter and husband live next door) live 2.5 hours from Gainesville and visit often.  Niece's family and son live in the area.  My daughter asked if I wanted to go the National Champ celebration on Saturday, pefacing it by saying "I know it is turkey season".  I told her if I killed one Wed I would be done and would go.  She said "You won't".  She was right.  So she sends me a video of my oldest grandson (5) who is saying "Pops, it is one day of turkey hunting.  You can turkey hunt any time, but not go see your other favorite thing, the Gators, and a National Champs.  You may never see another one.  Why don't you want to go?"  I told her it was a low blow, but she swore she did not put him up to it. 

  They know how to melt us. I might have said if it rains I'll be there 
I hope they enjoyed the celebration.

I currently have 2 of these shells in #6 shot left. Planning on using 1 of them to kill a mountain Tom this year. The last 2 gobblers that I shot, these Active shells were used in my 870 SM with the factory Remington Super Full turkey tube (.665) They patterned excellent.

Been hunting SE Mo for the past 33 years. Leave next Wed for year 34. Just a FYI you will not be alone. The past 5-8 years we have encounter more hunters than ever. Went 20 years and never encountered another hunter. Last spring I ran into guys from Fla,Miss,LA,Ark and two guys from Mi. Go and enjoy but be prepared for lots of camps and hunters.

Just my opinion but it's about demand and return on investment.
It's not a super high demand gun so the options are limited. I'd def grab one if available in 3". And prob need to be a pump or American possibly European single. I've got a bunch of 28s, mostly stacked barrels.  It's all I've hunted small game with over 30 years but ain't modifying none of the guns.
