A couple of friends and I are contemplating plans to come up to Montana next spring.  Your tick comment kind of surprises me.  I wouldn't have thought they would be a problem up there.

I do like that you are seeing a lot of jakes, though.  If we make it up there, I am hoping those jakes have turned into a bunch of clueless two-year-olds.  ;D
I had a really nice gobbler come close, but cows were nearby dang it.Then 4 toms busted me!!

This is what I know. Frank made them in partnership with someone else that had a CNC. They are CNC made off the original green hornet Frank designed and created. Frank made it clear in a certificate they came with, that each of the 100 is a duplicate of the original green hornet. They only made 100 of them and they are all dark green like the one on auction. There are different colored ones out there but according to Frank they were made outside the agreement and aren't authentic. Frank signed and numbered the 100 he made with his partner. They are made from solid acrylic in three pieces and threaded/glued beneath the bands. He said as they are all acrylic you never want to drop them or take apart at the joints. They are a piece of Frank's history and highly collectible. They also sound great!

Thanks for the info. I always like to learn the history behind these call.

I'm the same way.  :icon_thumright:

oh yes the grizzly. I have not hunted that ranch in several years!

You were bad mouthing Richard Martinez the "Volunteer" Chairman of the Backwater Hunters and Anglers. A group dedicated to introducing new hunters and fisherman to the possibilities available if your not rich and/or don't own land. They are well aware of the battle for lost hunting privileges due to political pressure from antis's.

I quit supporting BHA years ago after it became obvious their main goal was R3. More specifically recruiting as many new hunters as possible. Which benefits them and the industry more than the public land hunter. They were too focused on "Pint Nights" rather than actual projects to benefit public lands. They've had a bit of a reorganization in the past year or so which I hope will get them back on the right path.

The Hunt Quietly podcast recently took a nice dive into BHA and confirmed my suspicions. Good listen and let me know I made the correct choice by quitting to support them years ago. Episode 116.

God forbid an organization follows through with it's one of its stated goals of introducing new people to the outdoors and hunting and fishing!

So many of these post are blatantly selfish. Oh boo hoo I now have to share my once secret public land with other legal hunters.  Too bad.  Life goes on.  If only we could ban YouTube and non-residents things would return to the 1980s. Lol.
