Title: Mossberg front sling stud won’t line ?

I know this a stupid question but i have a new 835 and I went to put a sling on it and the stud won't line up when it's tight. I can loosen it up and use it but it seems like it be a lot better if it's tight. I can loosen the mag cap and it'll line up but it's too loose. Anybody else have this problem ?

I have an older 835, front sling stud loosened up and I put a nylon washer under it.Tightened it up and works find. Maybe it would help.

You can also use Teflon tape. Use a little, tighten it up for alignment, if not where you want it then add a little more until it aligns.
