Looking to try out a different turkey gun. Have a wingmaster as primary but want wet weather gun. Had an 835, but my son just took it from me. What should I expect to pay for a 1300 12 ga 22" winchoke model? Any issues to look out for?
If it's the old NWTF 1300 model I've seen them go for anywhere between $300 and $400. I killed my first bird with one. They're a fine turkey gun.
The 1300s are my preference. I've owned two 12 gauges and both shot lights out with a .660 constriction.
Only issue the 1200 and 1300 are know to have are the plastic feed throats, some last the life of the gun, some crap out in a few years. The feed throats run about $25 to $40 when you can find one new, the mag tube will need to be removed to replace one. I've never had to replace one on the guns I've owned or passed to the family. I shoot a Benelli Nova now just because it fits me better as a senior.
I own 2, a 12 and a 20 gauge both with 22" barrels. I consider them a fine turkey gun with many kills between them. As stated above, the $300-$400 range seems reasonable for a used 1300. Gunbroker will have several to choose from.
Just picked up a black synthetic model for $165. Might even try my first diy camo job on it.
I had a 1300 "deer/turkey" gun in advantage camo. It had rifle sights and choke tubes. It was lights out with a hastings .665. Never had an issue with it. Sold it probably 5-7 yrs ago. I remember selling it for $350 because once I returned home I realized the guy had given me $370 and I had to mail him $20.
I have a mid to late 90's "black shadow " in a 12 guage. The action is impeccable to me. It cycles silky smooth unlike my 835 and 870. It is not my favorite gun simply because of the "speed pump " technology. Turkey loads will really rock you.
Mine shoots really well with 670 pure gold and a 675 non ported undertaker with hevi 13 3/2/6 and 3" MB.
I suspect prices will be in the $300 range on the used gun racks.

The laminated Stock 1300's are going anywhere from 350 to 550. The buck and beard model goes a bit more. You can get them at gun shows for the low 300's. Fantastic guns, pattern unreal. I have the two laminated 1300's. One is vented rib, unfired. The other is the rifled sight barrel Buck an Beard Model. I highly recommend them.
I just got a very clean 20ga at auction for $225. According to sn it is from 1991.
My favorite turkey guns. I have a few. Others are correct with there pricing. And nothing at all to worry about with the 1300.
