Title: Rem 870 Wingmaster/ Hastings .665 (Non-ported)
Post by: Longshanks on May 02, 2020, 07:53:08 PM
Anyone shooting TSS through the Hastings non ported chokes or seen it done? Getting ready to shoot some Fed 3" TSS 9's out of my Rem 870/ Hastings .665.

Was wondering how those TSS #9s did going through your .665 choke?

A buddy has a 3.5" 12 gauge with a Carlson .665 choke and wants to know what size TSS shot to use. I know all guns and ammo can be different, but I'm wondering what your experience is.

Anybody else reading this... what do you suggest I tell him, #7 or #9 TSS?

Thank you!

I shot the TSS 3" #9 through a remington .665 choke last weekend. 232 in a 10 " circle at 40, good even pattern.

Cool, thank you Gawhitaker! Nothing guaranteed, but that makes me feel better about making a recommendation to use #9 TSS.

My SX3 is shooting a .690 Hastings with hand rolled 2oz #9's and through a a very good pattern, 325/270'ish the 10/20" at 40.
