Title: Ma Youth Turkey Hunt
Post by: greencop01 on April 25, 2020, 03:05:17 PM
First I can never figure out how to post pictures and my niece went out with with her father this morning and at 9am on a farm in the town they live: she shot a 24.73 lbs tom and then one minute later shot a 24.07 lb tom. Two toms total weight 48.80 lbs. Ma this year went to a two toms a day instead of one a day. They then had to stay in the blind for another 15 minutes before the other turkeys left. Now I don't use blinds but they do. I never shot a turkey that went 24 lbs and neither has her father. She is only 16 and has 5 turkeys under her belt and 3 bucks. Go figure. But she shot em I give her credit. We had two mild winters in a row and I figure the birds are in a healthy condition in these parts.
