Does the color of a tape on a mouthcall denote thickenss? I know I do not seem like one that feels thick in my mouth at all, seems that I have that problem with calls with white tape more than tape of any other color, is there a thickness difference between tape colors like there is for different colors of latex?
Nope.
For me I get that feeling from a large/normal frame call that has the rigid/stiff tape. A smaller frame call with soft tape feels much better in my mouth.

I seem to have problems with some feeling very thick and for whatever reason they are always white ones except for one black one, that is why I asked the question. Thank you for your reply.
The new norm for mouth call tape is a thinner material than we had going back 10 years ago. There is a difference from color to color in thickness, texture and even taste. Neon green has a taste that is no the greatest while other colors may be more textured. Not sure why this is as it all comes from the same tape manufacturer as far as I know. There is no rhyme or reason as far as color and thickness.
