Title: Mid- to late-May decoy preferences
Post by: Mountain Man on May 12, 2011, 02:40:42 PM
What are your decoy preferences for later spring season bow hunting?

I like to use decoys set up at about 7-8 yards from my blind.  I have had success in mid to late May and I typically use a standing jake over a hen but I wanted to see what others use or the type of setup you prefer.  Do you like fewer decoys, only a hen, a hen and a jake, or maybe even a strutter?  I realize this will differ if public or private and if the birds have been pressured or not so maybe you can indicate in your response public or private and if the birds have been pressured.  Thanks.
