What are the actual physical differences between the "Old" & the "New" Primos Jelly Head chokes? Is this Primos Jelly Head Model No. 608 choke that I purchased in 2007 for my 1990 Mossberg 835 Realtree Brown Leaf Ulti-Mag considered the Primos "Old" Jelly Head choke? Many O.G. forum members say it patterns much better than the "New".
I shot the original jellyhead out of the same 835 and for what it was, it was deadly.

I've got the same choke in my mossberg 835 I bought the gun new with that same choke in 1995. That's the Orginal one that choke shoots awesome with Winchester longbeards 6 shot
The new "Maximum" has different internal geometry and a proprietary finish, Black T, to better prevent corrosion. The ports are also different, giving it a longer appearance. There are a couple of green bands at the muzzle as well. It's a very good looking choke tube and appears to be well machined.
I hope that helps some.
Thanks,
Clark
Has anybody shot both the new and old jellyhead to see if they pattern differently ?
