I always condition the aluminum before I have them anodized. Then it is just a matter of keeping the surface clean afterwards.
Yes scotch brite works well for that.

Sharp indeed! How about a look at the backside. Never knew the aluminum was conditioned prior to being anodized.

Yes I really like the aluminum matched up with a yellow heart striker.
Other than copper I like a good aluminum call.
