Title: Cabelas was loaded.
Post by: deerbasshunter3 on February 06, 2020, 08:21:29 PM
I went to Cabelas today and they were loaded with turkey stuff, including clothing. I have heard people before say that it seemed like stores like Cabelas and BPS were lacking in camo, but they were on point today.

After having the entire store up against the back wall, due to a tornado touching down in the vicinity, I picked up some Red Head True Timber HTC Green pants, gloves and a hat. I will likely be going back sometime soon for another shirt.

Just wanted to put that out there in case anybody is still shopping for camo/turkey stuff.

Also, FWIW, I was at the Rock Hill, SC Cabelas.

I'm glad they're doing ok but they're way over priced. Bass pro wasn't so bad but I don't use either anymore

Guessing you were at PdC, I set the store a couple/few weeks ago, I always try to have it out in the end of Jan begin of Feb.

I am a little bit driven about turkey hunting:) look me up if you get back in before season!

I stopped by BPS in Broken Arrow Ok a couple of weeks ago and it was nearly void of turkey hunting. Maybe I was a bit early for turkey stuff ?  Looking at some of the mouth calls that they did have I noticed that they were generally a dollar higher than you can buy them on-line.  Camouflage seems higher too.  It seems like BPS has turned into the "Jack of all trades-master of none" as far as hunting goes.

Went to my hometown Wally World last week and pulled in 2 pair of Realtree Edge 5 pocket pants for $5 a pair.  Went to the next county Wally World and pulled in 3 more pair for $2.50 a pair.  They were both clearing out their Fall stuff.  Not much turkey stuff yet.  Probably around the first to middle of March here.
