Just curious about this. Never turkey hunted in Alabama, but I've always wanted to. Their season opens a couple of weeks before mine, and I'd love to break the ice with an Alabama gobbler before I start hunting in Georgia. Also just love to hunt new country. I live about thirty minutes from Eufaula, Alabama. I know Barbour WMA is nearby, but if I'm reading correctly I can't hunt there until nearly April, which would defeat the purpose of getting to hunt earlier. I know it's a long shot, but would any private land owners in Alabama like to make some extra cash? I'd pay a reasonable daily rate for two or three days of hunting and the opportunity to kill one gobbler. Any takers?

There is plenty of NF land that I'm pretty sure is open. It's been a few years since I went over and got my bird so maybe I'm wrong. That is where I would start looking and then if some private comes available your that much better off.
