I just turned a few....
Frogwood is a relatively new laminate, they have a high density product that is really nice....easy to work with and it sounds darn good!
I got a couple sample blanks from them, i was impressed with it, and then I sent them to a couple guys for their review....they were equally impressed. They ran it side by side with rutland strikers i had made for them and they said its a solid player...
This is my custom color....

These are the real deal. Jeff sent me a prototype to run and I was blowed away. He has a winner with this laminate material. Super, strong striker.

Played mine on every surface that I have and was very pleased. It produced great sounds with very minimal effort, plus the colors are beautiful.

So I am a little late to the party, but my frogwood striker came today. It runs great on any surface and may just be that do everything striker that everyone needs. I've got a LOT of Jeff's strikers, but I won't be leaving home without the frogwood this spring.
