Im interested in these two guns. The big plus I like for the 935 is the trigger...you can buy a simple spring and have a decent rifle type trigger (3.5lb pull). No idea on M3500 trigger? Can anyone comment on this as I cant try one in person. The M3500 has a good reputation while the 935 seems to get mostly thumbs up but I have seen some thumbs downs. So what say you? For mostly turkey hunting but also for the rare fun trap shooting session...which would you get? I do not want a turkey specific model as an FYI. Ill be looking into a 26 or 28in barrel.
I do not own a 3500, but do have a 935 with a 26'' barrel that is a dedicated turkey gun. In my mind it swings like a brick and is only good for killing turkeys or maybe killing predators, or anything that does not involve a graceful swing. Based solely on my experience with 935, I'd recommend the 3500. If your going to only going to hunt turkeys, the 935 is tough to beat at it's price point. Mine cycles low brass dove loads (hadn't shot many, but it does cycle them) and runs good dirty or clean.

well this will only be my second shotgun so not much to compare and know what swinging like a brick means but it doesn't sound good lol.
935......a dedicated turkey gun, the M3500 a bit more versatile for wing shooting. If this will be a multi use gun, maybe the 930 a better choice than the 935.
The 935 has a 10GA bore size, therefore a heavier barrel same as the 835 pump gun, you need to handle all your choices, you'll get the picture.

I load my own TSS so 12 gauge 3in shells are more than enough. The only reason I was considering magnum is if I ever did some goose or duck hunting where you need to use steel shot...I hear 3.5s are more desirable then. My only issue with the M3500 is it has a 8lb trigger!!! That is STUPID bad...At least with the Mossberg you can put a trigger spring in to get you to 3.5lb trigger.
Since you already reload, try www.duckhuntingchat.com, good site, lot's of good info, much on reloading, many alternatives for 3" so you can avoid 3.5"..........I've never used the 3.5" myself, always found 3" did well enough.
