i was wondering if a call can get too raspy i have a red wasp and it is very loud and raspy. any ideas?

No I don't think so a time and a place for each call, one like that would be great when working a flock with a cranky old boss hen in the group.

				thanks

Wanted to add some thing here, change strikers, you'll find out you can control a lot with different ones.

I think the red wasp is a mouth call

The red wasp is a mouth call and is very raspy.  Try the single wing to mix it up a little bit...

If the birds like it, it's perfect. I would recommend having something else less raspy as an alternative. I love that call though. The cutts are awesome IMO. I can get a very clear, fine front end on the yelp breaking over to that wicked rasp. Some turkeys love it.

I like a good raspy call for the first part of our season then go to a clearer or sweeter sounding call, as the older hens get bred first the younger hens supposedly get bred later in the season so I change up as the year goes on alot of times..
