Can't go wrong with any long box from Jeff McKamey (Twisted Creek), my 5 year old can run the heck out of my bloodwood over butternut!

I like McKamey too. My fav sounding combo is his mineral poplar/bloodwood but I've got a cedar/butternut the birds love it seems. SS is also great

Mann, SS, Terefencko, Dawkins, Lapp, Snodgrass, Watkins, Lamar, Whitt, and on and on. So many outstanding callmakers out there today.
