No, you're thinking of a different fellOw. Fred's a great guy and is best known for his strikers and wingbones.

I have run them and they are well made calls. I think fred does the Dixie deer classic and palmetto classic hunting shows every year. So if you are from or near the Carolina's you can check his calls out in person.

Fred is a great guy, who has awesome calls. I really like his mouth calls and his strikers.
I have picked up some and they are good. He's one of several makers I carry but I don't have a "go to" mouth call.
I will second his striker quality. I use his strikers on pots made by others.
